Rainbow Butterfly Unicorn Kitty launched on Nickelodeon in the U.S. last month, with the series rolling on Nickelodeon’s international channels and branded blocks across 170+ countries and territories later this year.
Rainbow Butterfly Unicorn Kitty centres around a spirited and adorable kitty named Felicity who acquires magical and majestic powers. Part rainbow, part butterfly, part unicorn and 100 percent kitty, Felicity can shoot glow sticks from her paws, lasers from her horn, stretch and snap in rainbow mode, and clap thunderously with her butterfly wings. Together with her best friend Miguel, an energetic puppy, she’s ready to take on every challenge that comes with living in the magical mashup world of Mythlandia.
The 2D animated comedy adventure targets kids aged 6 – 11. The series comprises 52 X 11-minute episodes, including one half hour holiday TV special. It uses photo real textures, hand-drawn elements and a bright colour palette to convey a fantastical world. The series entertains kids as their proactive hero, Felicity, fiercely embraces the things that are special and unique to her and her friends. Felicity’s diverse nature makes her extraordinary but more importantly, she is relatable and likable.
