The ground-breaking critically acclaimed show airs on CBeebies and is aimed at parents and carers of 6 to 18-month old babies. It has consistently rated in the top ten shows on CBeebies delighting an audience of both parents/carers and young children.
Jetpack will be presenting The Baby Club at MIPCOM and MIPJUNIOR in Cannes this October to sell to international broadcasters and platforms directly or as a format which can be adapted and localised.
The Baby Club replicates the activities of community baby groups all over the world. Each show is hosted by influencer and author Giovanna Fletcher (Happy Mum, Happy Baby: My Adventures into Motherhood) or performer and TV presenter Nigel Clarke (Dance Factory, Toonattik, STOMP) who welcome six babies and their grown-ups and lead on-screen activities, while encouraging viewers to join in at home.
The series is firmly rooted in academic research, modelling how vital parent-baby attachment is to a child’s development.
Baby Bear and Baby Tiger join the presenters as soft toys and are brought to life in simple animation. In each programme parents, carers and their babies play together while exploring everyday objects through fun activities, catchy songs and simple stories.
Jetpack Distribution’s CEO, Dominic Gardiner, says: “We’re thrilled to bring The Baby Club to Cannes. It’s a great idea to target very young kids and their parents. We loved the idea of parents and kids watching this together and both getting so much from the experience.”
