Producer FAQs

Yes, if required. Every buyer has different needs when it comes to localisation. Some prefer to manage the process and others prefer us to. We ensure all dubbing work goes out to tender to ensure competitive pricing and high quality. We coordinate between the dubbing studio, the buyers and the producers to ensure they receive the necessary approvals. If the buyer is producing the dubbing we negotiate the lowest fees in case we need to access their dubs in the future as part of the deal.

Yes, we sell shows to all forms of kids content providers including digital and video-on-demand platforms such as Netflix, Amazon, Hulu, YouTube etc.

Yes, we provide full delivery to buyers. Initially we receive materials from the producer or owner and we then store these materials digitally and securely on our “Amazon S3” cloud server. Buyers can then download the materials using “Signiant” upon signature of the agreement and receipt of payment.

Yes, Jetpack consults on a range of areas helping producers build the profile of their work. We can also manage the sales of licencing and merchandising rights within the territories where the TV programme is sold. Other areas of expertise include: acquisitions, programming, scheduling, creative, production, operations, marketing, digital and business development.

All our deals require some form of cash fee from the buyer for the rights they need. Typically, once we have negotiated the key terms of the deal, we produce a contract or use the buyer’s. Within that contract we agree payment terms, usually a set of instalments tied to specific events, such as signing the agreement or delivery of materials etc. Jetpack will invoice the buyer and ensure the fees are paid on time. The fees are collected into one of Jetpack’s bank accounts. On a quarterly basis, we provide the owner with a royalty report detailing all deals to date, the monies paid to us and any outstanding amounts. We then forward the monies collected to your nominated account (s) minus taxes, expenses and our commission.

We sell shows on behalf of producers and take our commission from fees collected once the deal is secured. We don’t charge producers anything upfront.

We provide marketing campaigns in all the major kids trade press around the major markets Kidscreen, MipTV and Mipcom. The key trades are Kidscreen, C21, TBI and WSN. We have a large sales history of hundreds of deals that enable us to produce the most accurate achievable prices for the projection. Of course, due to the unique nature of every show we are selling and the specific requirements of the buyers, it is not always a guarantee that every series will sell in every market. Never the less we are always positive and optimistic that every Jetpack show will be a hit.
