Jetpack Distribution’s CEO, Dominic Gardiner, says: “We are delighted to be making a foray into movies. The global market and demand for family films has increased in recent years and there are some great opportunities. The movies are high quality dramas set in exotic locations with engaging storylines. We are excited to be presenting them at Kidscreen.”
Commenting on the slate, Perplexia Pictures’ founders Angus Fletcher and Ronald Henry add: “We are striving to build a creative business around a theatre company model, comprised of producers, writers and directors united by skill, friendship and the desire to tell terrific stories on film for a family audience. As such Dominic, and his colleagues from Jetpack, fit perfectly with this approach. After a lot of time, effort and love on our first slate of films, we are excited to see how the market responds and looking forward to making our next slate of four films later this year in Mauritius”.
